Jesus spent a lot of time eating with people and we think that it's important to follow his example, sharing a meal together and getting to know one another better.
So on the third Sunday of most months (after the worship all together service) at about 12.30pm we have a shared lunch where we're invited to bring some food (though bringing food is not obligatory) and we eat with one another and catch up on each others' lives.
In the months of July and August, we put our faith in the British summer weather and have a picnic or barbecue instead.
On other occasions, we do a bit of fundraising for our mission partners or in response to a recent tragedy by holding a Soupa Sunday where several of us make soup and fresh bread and donations are invited.
Whatever we eat, it usually finishes the same with a number of us piling into the kitchen to do the washing up!
